Any beachside hotel room or cottage is likely to cost you an arm and a leg these days, but a number of the establishments in the resort town of Ogunquit, Maine tend to give guests a lot of value for their hard-earned cash. Of course, you should always do your research before booking any hotels in Maine, especially for anything as important as a honeymoon. The reviewer complains that he expected to have his family of four put up in a cottage for their vacation, but he ended up with a “deluxe” guest room that was really only comfortable for two people. Other reviewers seem to agree that the rooms here are on the small side, but they are very charming and an ideal place to spend a honeymoon. Located right off the beach, The Dunes offers guests the opportunity to take a row boat out during the day, and both the view and the sound of the water hitting the shore at night are really the icing on the cake.
